Rickford is a quiet little picturesque village about 14m outside
Bristol and a couple of miles from Blagdon's famous fishing
lake.
Over many years the small village has housed some important
people and has had members of royalty living in its small
surroundings.
An old Masonic Lodge catches the eye by the side of the road
through the village and is still used to this very day by the
local freemasons.
The stream that runs through Rickford links up to the River Yeo
and Rickford has its own natural spring attached to Blagdon's
lake.
The Plume Of Feathers has been serving its community for many
years and has been open for business since before 1915, Nearly
100 years later the local warm friendly pub still has that
community feel and is popularly served by its locals.
Rickford really is a beautiful village where you could go for
nice long walks around peaceful countryside or just relax by the
local Blagdon lake taking in the views of the Mendip's watching
various forms of nature in its surroundings.
